1970 MLB All-Star Baseball Game Mug. This mug has a much more professional paint and glaze when compared with
most other sports mugs, it is really nice.
The game was played July 14, 1970 at Riverfront Stadium the brand new home of the Cincinnati Reds that had just opened two weeks earlier. The 1970 All-Star game will be remembered for Pete Rose bowling over Ray Fosse of the Cleveland Indians to win the game for the National League, back when the players and fans actually cared about the All-Star Game.
The game’s main sponsor was Chrysler Dodge & Plymouth as shown on the mug and just like Chrysler Dodge & Plymouth, this mug was Made in the USA! The mug is a little over 4 1/2 inches tall, and it’s base is a little more than 4 inches in diameter. This extremely rare and beautiful item would make a great gift for any Cincinnati Reds fan, Pete Rose fan, collector of automotive, gas & oil, or collector of sports memorabilia. Super low starting bid.
