Description
It's a clear plate cover with a thin film in it. When viewed from directly behind it's completely clear and will not obstruct an officer from reading your plate. When viewed at an angle it blurs the plate. All traffic and tollway cameras are placed above you. Due to the location they always capture your plate at an angle. With this plate cover the images they capture will not be legible. Do not buy the cover that reflects camera flashes. Those are version 1. They protect you from pictures, not video. The cover i have is version 2. They are effective against pictures and video.Unlike most people who advertise never get another ticket again, i'm going to be real with you. There is nothing on the market that can guarantee that. This products effectiveness is based on angles. The thing is, not every situation is the same cause not every camera is positioned the same. Some cameras might be higher up, others to the right or left a little more. Some might be at a 40 degree angle, others at a 45 degree angle. That angle from the camera to your plate is what determines the visibility. This cover is incredibly effective.
It will save you hundreds of dollars over the years. But to say you will never get another ticket is misleading. A more realistic claim would be beat the camera 95% of the time. Look at it like this, wearing a seat belt isn't going to save you every time, but most of the time it will, and wearing it is always a good idea.
Regarding the legality of this product. There is currently nothing on the books for this product. The only law you have to be aware of is some states do not allow plate covers of ANY kind, even the regular covers used to simply protect your plate. There are only a few states like that. That would be a compliance ticket, not a moving violation. Its the same thing as tinted windows. Compliance tickets are usually -50. Red light tickets are usually 0-200. It's up to you which ones you want to pay. I've been using these covers for over 5 years in two different states, IL and FL. I've been pulled over several times for unrelated issues. One cop said he is suppose to confiscate it, but never did. The others didn't even mention it. Probably because it's not illegal.
