VINTAGE NEW HAVEN RAILROAD STATION SIGN TICKET PRICES POSTER BOSTON NEW YORK.
Cool, vintage New Haven Railroad station ticket office poster /sign. This is original and old. The real thing from back in the day. Not a repro. No print date. Green and white with red lettering. Advertises that prices to New England Coastal towns such as Hyannis, Woods Hole & Fall River (Massachusetts) have been slashed. The back of the poster 13 1/2” W x 19” H also has a cardboard triangle on the back which would allow the sign to be propped-up on the ticket counter. However, looks like it was tacked to the station wall as there is a small hole at each of the 4 corners. Colors still look good. Edges and corners show wear. Back of the sign has a few scribbles, some dust, grime and discoloration. The front looks clean. The red lettering pops! I have tried to check old ticket prices on the routes mentioned in order to date the poster. I could not find anything. I’m sorry. I’m not an expert. However, I’m definitely a fan. It looks as if it could be from the 1940’s or possibly 1950’s? Perhaps someone might know. Thanks. This was from an avid collector’s collection!
